nhow Amsterdam RAI is a new social and multicultural hub for globetrotters, business travelers, and Amsterdam locals. The iconic building, facing the various wind directions, symbolizes the melting pot the city of Amsterdam has always been and continues to be. The impressive 91-metre-tall building is in the Zuidas district, right next to the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, offering its guests a dynamic headquarters and home base.

What are you going to do?
During this internship you will become familiar with all facets of the hotel operation. First, you will be trained in all the departments before you can assume your duties as the Duty Manager. After that, you independently fulfil the role of Manager on Duty. After thatm you are the first contact for guests. You assist guests with questions, comments, and complaints and, if necessary, you assist other departments whenever it is needed most. You will be also dealing with calamities and any other emergencies such as fire alarms, sick guests, and similar.

You know the hotel, your colleagues, and the guests like no other. As a result, your knowledge and skills in the field of hotel operational management are developed quickly, and you will be fully prepared for your career as a young professional in the hospitality industry.

  • You are currently enrolled for Bachelor's or Master's in Hospitality or any other relevant study;
  • You have already worked in a hotel before, ideally as receptionist;
  • You are available for a minimum of 6 months;
  • You are eager to learn to understand how a large international hotel operates;
  • You are flexible with people, but you also stand firm whenever it is needed;
  • You are service-oriented, you dare to make decisions and you have an excellent command of the English language. Dutch is a strong benefit;
  • You are a problem-solver, can act decisively, and you can think of solutions instead of problems.
