nhow Amsterdam RAI is a social and multicultural hub for globetrotters, business travelers, and Amsterdam locals. The iconic building, facing the various wind directions, symbolizes the melting pot the city of Amsterdam has always been and continues to be. The impressive 91-metre-tall building is in the Zuidas district, right next to the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, offering its guests a dynamic headquarters and home base.

For this iconic social hub, we are looking an enthusiastic and proactive Junior Sous Chef who is ready to take part in this large dynamic design hotel. The kitchen is located on the 17th floor and with its unique location and the view, it is one of the highest located professional kitchens in Amsterdam. The kitchen services the breakfast buffet of up to 700 covers, the room service, all day bar menu, evening restaurant ala carte, and the banqueting. The team of the kitchen consists of the Executive Head Chef, the Executive Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef, Banqueting Sous Chef, and a brigade of Chef de Parties, Commis and Stewards. The core team is 15 members that is supported by the pool of flex-chefs.

What are you going to do?

As Junior Sous Chef in breakfast, you are the driving force behind the breakfast. You are recruiting, training, and developing your team, you look after guests and the quality. Together with the Chef, you will be also developing and improving the breakfast selection and operations. You know how to get the best out of your team members, and you ensure a culinary experience for every guest. Aside from that, you will also be involved in activities such as scheduling, complying with and checking hygiene procedures, managing the kitchen stock, and placing orders.
